International Greek Language Day
International Greek Language Day is celebrated annually on the 9th of February. This day highlights the fundamental role and contribution of the Greek language in the development of art and science globally. In the context of the International Greek Language Day, here at GME we will be celebrating the rich musical tradition of the Grico people in the Southern Italian regions of Calabria and Apulia. Ghetonia and Encardia are two bands that have promoted these charming songs beyond the Griko-speaking communities, among a Greek and indeed international audience.
Παγκόσμια Ημέρα Ελληνοφωνίας
Η Παγκόσμια Ημέρα Ελληνοφωνίας γιορτάζεται κάθε χρόνο στις 9 Φεβρουαρίου. Η ημέρα αυτή αναδεικνύει τον θεμελιώδη ρόλο και τη συμβολή της ελληνικής γλώσσας στην ανάπτυξη της τέχνης και της επιστήμης παγκοσμίως. Στο πλαίσιο της Παγκόσμιας Ημέρας Ελληνοφωνίας, εδώ στο GME, γιορτάζουμε την πλούσια μουσική παράδοση των Γκρίκο, των Ελλήνων της Κάτω Ιταλίας. Οι Ghetonia και οι Encardia είναι δύο μπάντες που έχουν προωθήσει αυτά τα γοητευτικά τραγούδια πέρα από τα όρια της Καλαβρίας και της Απουλίας, σε ένα ευρύ ελληνικό και διεθνές κοινό.
