Οι φιλοβασιλικοί άγγλοι τον καταριούνται ακόμη μιας και τόλμησε να αποκεφαλίσει τον Κάρολο Α’. Οι ιρλανδοί και οι σκώτοι επίσης, καθώς δεν άφησε τίποτα όρθιο στον τόπο τους. Και οι κυνηγοί κεφαλών ακόμη τον μισούν. Βλέπετε, ακόμη και σήμερα, το κεφάλι του είναι θαμμένο κάπου και κανείς δεν μπόρεσε να το βρει. Ο Όλιβερ Κρόμγουελ πέθανε στις 3 Σεπτέμβρη του 1658 (με το κεφάλι του) ασχέτως αν το έχασε μετά θάνατον.
