Η σχεδία της Μέδουσας

Στις 2 Ιουλίου του 1816 ο θλιβερός κυβερνήτης, Hugues Duroy de Chaumereys, ρίχνει τη γαλλική φρεγάτα Medusa σε σίρτη, εν πλω για τη Σενεγάλη. Μια σχεδία να χωρέσουν 150 άνθρωποι, ένα ύπουλο κόψιμο των σχοινιών, μια βουβή απελπισία.

Ο γάλλος ζωγράφος, Jean-Louis-Théodore Gericault, θα αποτυπώσει τα πάντα κι ας μην ήταν εκεί…
