Η Μπέρθα Κρουπ , μεγαλοκληρονόμος και ιδιοκτήτρια της ομώνυμης εταιρείας, ήταν χοντρή. Το κανόνι που κατασκεύασαν οι Γερμανοί για να χτυπήσουν το Παρίσι στον Α’ Παγκόσμιο Πόλεμο, ήταν χοντρό. Έτσι πήρε το όνομά της. Στις 23 Μαρτίου 1918 ο θάνατος στήθηκε 72 μίλια μακριά από τη γαλλική πρωτεύουσα. Δεν ήθελε μόνο να σκοτώσει αθώες ψυχές. Ήθελε να τις λυγίσει από το φόβο.…
