Τις απόψεις της Πρωτοβουλίας Πανεπιστημιακών “ΔΕΘ-Μητροπολιτικό Πάρκο” εξέφρασε μιλώντας στον 102 fm ο Κοσμήτορας της Σχολής Οικονομικών και Πολιτικών Επιστημών του ΑΠΘ  κ. Γρηγόρης Ζαρωτιάδης. 
Διατύπωσε τα πλεονεκτήματα της Μετατροπής της ΔΕΘ σε ένα Μητροπολιτικό Πάρκο-Τοπόσημο για τον αστικό ιστό της Θεσσαλονίκης και εξέφρασε την αισιοδοξία πως, σε ένα συναινετικό πλαίσιο, οι απόψεις αυτές μπορούν να ακουστούν από της Διοίκηση της ΔΕΘ και να είναι εποικοδομητικές.
