Ως θετικό νέο για τη Θεσσαλονίκη χαρακτήρισε την έναρξη της ακτοπλοϊκής σύνδεσης της Θεσσαλονίκης με τα νησιά του Β. Αιγαίου και τις Κυκλάδες από το προσεχές Σάββατο ο πρόεδρος της Ένωσης Τουριστικών Γραφείων Μακεδονίας – Θράκης, Βύρων Θεολόγης μιλώντας στην «Αίθουσα Σύνταξης» του 102 FM της ΕΡΤ3. Όπως είπε, προκαλεί απορία για ποιους λόγους το δρομολόγιο θα διακοπεί για τρεις μήνες το καλοκαίρι και θα επανέλθει το φθινόπωρο, ενώ αναγνώρισε ότι εδώ και δεκαετίες οι ακτοπλοϊκές συνδέσεις της Θεσσαλονίκης έχουν αποτύχει λόγω της έλλειψης ενδιαφέροντος πέραν των δύο τουριστικών μηνών του καλοκαιριού.
