Την υποψηφιότητα του δημάρχου Αθηναίων Γιώργου Καμίνη για την ηγεσία του νέου φορέα της Κεντροαριστεράς χαιρέτησε ο βουλευτής Λακωνίας της Δημοκρατικής Συμπαράταξης Λεωνίδας Γρηγοράκος μιλώντας στον 102 fm της ΕΡΤ3 και την Ασπασία Βούζη.
 
Χαρακτήρισε το συγκεκριμένο πολιτικό χώρο «αναγεννητικό», που «αφήνει τα λουλούδια να ανθίσουν», υπογράμμισε την ανάγκη να προωθηθούν νέα άφθαρτα πρόσωπα και εξήγησε ότι στο εγχείρημα μπορεί να περιληφθεί και ένα κομμάτι της ΝΔ και του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ. 
 
Παράλληλα, αναφέρθηκε στο στόχο της αύξησης των ποσοστών της Δημοκρατικής Συμπαράταξης εκτιμώντας πως «αν παραμείνει στο 7-8% θα έχει την τύχη του Ποταμιού».
